New York indie band Frankie Cosmos led by musician Greta Kline have just announced their new album Inner World Peace and released lead single 'One Year Stand'. The new album taken from a collection of songs written by Kline over lockdown that had been honed down from over 100 tracks to 15, 'One Year Stand' is a sweet and sad pop song, synths and soft percussion float around Kline's gentle melodies. The track comes with a video directed by performance artist Eliza Lu Doyle, Kline describes the thought process behind the visuals here: "It feels like an encapsulation of the record in that it’s strange and vast while also being contained and interior. Clowning and playing are a huge part of collaborating for me and Eliza. We wanted to perform a dance without dancing — the kind of movements you fall into in private, banal moments, playing without even realizing. Choreographing together felt like we were in 6th grade again, all id and giggles. The album and the video were made in these environments of love and pleasure."
